There is mountain biking, or if you prefer a Harley, there are miles of winding pavement to ride as part of the Selkirk Loop.

· There is a 35 minute ferry crossing between Kootenay Bay and Balfour which is the longest free ferry crossing in the world! It is operated by Ministry of Highways and includes a new Osprey 2000 ferry which runs year round and the Balfour ferry which runs during the summer months.
· The area features Unique artisan’s shops in Crawford Bay. It is a short Ferry ride to Balfour, where you can get off and go for a drive to the Ice Fields, Ainsworth Hot springs, Kaslo or Nelson.
